Chewy Nho April 13, 2008 - August 22, 2022

It is with great sorrow and lots of tears that I write to inform you of Chewy's passing. Chewy Nho crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully in my arms on August 22, 2022. He is survived by his brothers, Jack (19) and Solo (10), and his sister Naberrie (9).

Over the 14 years of his life, the world has embraced Chewy and his wanderings around California. He started as a dog blogger and slowly turned to social media (Facebook and Instagram) to share his adventures with the world. I am in the process of closing down Chewy's social media pages which is not an easy task, especially with me losing access to Chewy's Facebook account. I will keep this blog and his YouTube channel up as a memorial.

Chewy has been my little buddy, companion, and soulmate for 14 years. I miss him so much and will continue to miss him every day until we meet again. I thank everyone who has supported Chewy on his adventures and fundraising efforts. It has meant the world to me, knowing that he has brought smiles and laughter to your life with his sassy personality. I just wish he could have stayed with us a little longer. Due to his fast-growing cancer (melanoma), his little body could not handle the pain and was no longer able to breathe on his own.

I want to thank my family, friends, and Furmama Crew, who have and still are helping me through this heart-wrenching time. I am comforted knowing that my sweet Chewy is no longer in pain and running free across the rainbow bridge.

Until we meet again, my little green bean thief, my kappa maki lover, my Chewy-Chewy. I love you. Always.

I love a good doggie organization and have been participating in the Morris Animal Foundation K9 Cancer Walk and raising funds for this organization for years. I hope to give back this year since all of my furiends have given so much to me over the years.

Merry Christmas

Happy Pawlidays! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day. We got lots of toys and clothes from Santa. We were visited by a very special guest too, BB8! Here is a little video of Solo's first encounter with BB8.

A Royal 4th Birthday Pawty!

My little brother is four years old. It hardly seems fitting to refer to Solo as my little brother. We wear the same size in clothes, we eat the same amount of food, and he can keep up with me at most of our doggie meetups. There is nothing little about him anymore, especially his birthday celebrations.

This year, mom went all out and threw Solo a royal-themed birthday pawty. Mom made sure there were enough tiaras and crowns to go around. She made the prince crowns silver and made a special gold crown for Solo.

She even made a few capes for us to wear while taking pictures our favorite pet-photographe Vernon Jacobs. Solo loves to take photos with Vernon and ask all of the prince and princess who attended his pawty to take a photo with him.

We served turkey bon-bons and a turkey-sweet potato cake. Solo and I are on a special diet now and we can no longer enjoy the traditional dog birthday cakes from My Best Friend Bakery.

We did not mind the home-cooked hors d'oeuvres and cake. Both items were a huge hit with our furiends and I made sure all crumbs were licked up by the end of the pawty.

A blogger's vacation!

Rest and relaxation was in order after three and a half year of blogging. My paws were tired from typing and my taste buds were starting to go bland after licking hundreds of yummy treats over the years. I sat down with my mom and brother and had a heart to heart bark with both of them. I told mommy and Solo that I was ready to take a long vacation from blogging. I wanted to relax and sniff out the world of fashion and treats without the use of a keyboard. They were very supportive and encouraged me to take my blogger's vacation. So I did, woof woof!

I never left the world of technology completely. I have maintained my Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts by posting pictures of my Yorkie shenanigans from my iPaw. I would like to give a big FOUR PAWS UP to all of my followers on social media. Your likes, favorites, comments, and hashtags have made me bark in joy over the years. Thank you for your continues support, especially during my blogger vacation. My adventures would not be as enjoyable if it were not for your encouragement and wooftastic comments. Wags and licks to all of you, woof woof!

I am back eight months later with a need to blog about my crazy Yorkie adventures. My nose is ready to sniff out new treats, local canine hangouts, and the new trends in fashion. I cannot wait to start pawing at that keyboard again.

Carmel is a doggie-dog wonderland!

We love visiting Carmel!

Carmel is a doggie-dog wonderland! Solo and I had a great time sniffing around Carmel with our South Bay Yorkshire Terrier group. This is our group's second trip to Carmel and we plan to make this an annual event. Woof woof!

9:00 AM - We love to start the day off with a yummy breakfast with our furiends at a great dog friendly brunch spot in Carmel. Village Corner Bistro is a small restaurant with a spacious dog friendly patio in the heart of Carmel. The patio had a fire pit and a few heat lamps to keep us warm. We ate hard-boiled eggs and mixed it in with our kibble and treats. It was a furtastic way to start off our visit to Carmel.

11:00 AM - We met up with other members of our Yorkie group at the Fountain of Woof. The Fountain of Woof is located in Carmel Plaza. I have visited this fountain many times in the past and never get tired of posing in front of this dog-centric landmark. My furiends loved posing for pictures and sniffing butts around the fountain too.

12:30 AM - After a long walk down Ocean Avenue we sniffed around Carmel Beach. This beach is dog friendly. We saw lots of big and small dogs playing in the sand and swimming in the water.

We love sitting in the sand.

There is a small outlook over the beach too. We could see the entire beach from this spot and we decided to put our paws up in our strollers and take in the view with our furiends.

We found lots of furbulous courtyards and met lots of new furiends during our walk up and down Ocean Avenue. You can read more about my favorite hidden courtyard in my posts Carmel, first paw and Carmel, second paw.

The puparrazi was in full force during our trip to Carmel too. No matter where we walked or sniffed they always seemed to find us. Thanks uncle Howard, auntie Charmaine, and uncle Ray for always following us around with your cameras.

1:00 PM - Diggidy Dog is a must-stop-shop for any canine visiting Carmel. Manager Robert and his wooftastic staff helped us find every item on our wish list while showering each of us with head scratches and samples of food.

2:00PM - We finished up our trip with a pawesome lunch at Forge in the Forest. We sat in the Dog Pound patio and ordered off the dog menu. Solo and I ordered and shared The Quarter Hounder. It was de'lick'cious! Woof woof!

4:00 PM - Our trip came to a close and my furiends and I all headed home. We loved sniffing around Carmel, hanging with our Yorkie homies, and eatting at dog friendly restaurants.

9th Annual Poodles on Parade: Wooftastic red carpet event for a furtastic organization

My brother and I attended the 9th Annual Poodles on Parade event to help raise funds for Hospice of the Valley. Hospice of the Valley's mission is to help "those facing serious illness by providing comfort through compassionate palliative, hospice and grief care."

My family and I love to sniff out and support these generous organizations that help any living being find care and support during times of need.

What made this event extra wooftastic was the glitz and glamour of the red carpet. Each dog that donated to Hospice of the Valley was given the opportunity to walk the red carpet. Our uncle Chad was the master of ceremonies and we thought he did a furtastic job. Go uncle Chad, woof woof!

Solo and I also participated in the competitions. There were four competitive categories (Best Dressed,  Best Kisser, Best Look-a-like, and Most Talented) and one noncompetitive category which gave pups the opportunity to walk down the red carpet without judgement.

Solo completed in the Best Dressed category and I chose to complete in the Best Kisser category. We did not win any awards but we had fun strutting down the red carpet in style.

Many of our furiends came out to support the canine festivities and Hospice of the Valley. Obi and Darth Maul were there cheering us on while their mom judge the competitions.

Solo's girlfriend, Jun Ko, along with furcousins Boo Boo and Bullet participated in the Best Dressed contest. My girl Rio is a natural kisser and beauty so it was only natural for her to enter into the Best Kisser category.

LB Steak hosted this pawesome fundraiser. The umbrellas and chairs helped coral the guests into the shade on this hot day while the free human appetizers and ice cold water gave this event a special s'wag'ger for all to bark about.

TWO BIG PAWS UP to the LB chef and staffers who made the cow shaped beef cookies. These yummy doggity delights were passed out to each dog that attended the event. Solo and I gobbled ours up, woof woof!

We cannot wait to use the attached 15% off lunch coupon in a few weeks with mom too. I am secretly hoping mommy will order me a steak to share with my brother... paws crossed.

This was a great fundraiser and we cannot wait to help raise funds for Hospice of the Valley next year.  Until then... keep wandering.

Who were we wearing and how do we roll? Solo wore a Black Tie Affair Boy Dog Vest by Emma Rose Designs. I wore a non branded dog tuxedo suit purchased from Amazon.com. We strolled around the event in our camo PetZip stroller.
