Carmel is a doggie-dog wonderland!

We love visiting Carmel!
Carmel is a doggie-dog wonderland! Solo and I had a great time sniffing around Carmel with our South Bay Yorkshire Terrier group. This is our group's second trip to Carmel and we plan to make this an annual event. Woof woof!

Solo, me, and Nellie waiting for our breakfast
9:00 AM - We love to start the day off with a yummy breakfast with our furiends at a great dog friendly brunch spot in Carmel. Village Corner Bistro is a small restaurant with a spacious dog friendly patio in the heart of Carmel. The patio had a fire pit and a few heat lamps to keep us warm. We ate hard-boiled eggs and mixed it in with our kibble and treats. It was a furtastic way to start off our visit to Carmel.

11:00 AM - We met up with other members of our Yorkie group at the Fountain of Woof. The Fountain of Woof is located in Carmel Plaza. I have visited this fountain many times in the past and never get tired of posing in front of this dog-centric landmark. My furiends loved posing for pictures and sniffing butts around the fountain too.

12:30 AM - After a long walk down Ocean Avenue we sniffed around Carmel Beach. This beach is dog friendly. We saw lots of big and small dogs playing in the sand and swimming in the water.

We love sitting in the sand.

There is a small outlook over the beach too. We could see the entire beach from this spot and we decided to put our paws up in our strollers and take in the view with our furiends.

the view is furtastic
Jun, Solo, me, Bullet and Rio loved this chillin spot
We found lots of furbulous courtyards and met lots of new furiends during our walk up and down Ocean Avenue. You can read more about my favorite hidden courtyard in my posts Carmel, first paw and Carmel, second paw.

The puparrazi was in full force during our trip to Carmel too. No matter where we walked or sniffed they always seemed to find us. Thanks uncle Howard, auntie Charmaine, and uncle Ray for always following us around with your cameras.

1:00 PM - Diggidy Dog is a must-stop-shop for any canine visiting Carmel. Manager Robert and his wooftastic staff helped us find every item on our wish list while showering each of us with head scratches and samples of food.

2:00PM - We finished up our trip with a pawesome lunch at Forge in the Forest. We sat in the Dog Pound patio and ordered off the dog menu. Solo and I ordered and shared The Quarter Hounder. It was de'lick'cious! Woof woof!

4:00 PM - Our trip came to a close and my furiends and I all headed home. We loved sniffing around Carmel, hanging with our Yorkie homies, and eatting at dog friendly restaurants.

Until our next trip to Carmel... keep wandering!

Who were we wearing and how do we roll? Solo and I wore Diggidy Dog tank-tops with our Puppia harnesses and strolled around =in our camo PetZip stroller.

9th Annual Poodles on Parade: Wooftastic red carpet event for a furtastic organization

My brother and I attended the 9th Annual Poodles on Parade event to help raise funds for Hospice of the Valley. Hospice of the Valley's mission is to help "those facing serious illness by providing comfort through compassionate palliative, hospice and grief care."

My family and I love to sniff out and support these generous organizations that help any living being find care and support during times of need.

What made this event extra wooftastic was the glitz and glamour of the red carpet. Each dog that donated to Hospice of the Valley was given the opportunity to walk the red carpet. Our uncle Chad was the master of ceremonies and we thought he did a furtastic job. Go uncle Chad, woof woof!

Solo and I also participated in the competitions. There were four competitive categories (Best Dressed,  Best Kisser, Best Look-a-like, and Most Talented) and one noncompetitive category which gave pups the opportunity to walk down the red carpet without judgement.

Solo completed in the Best Dressed category and I chose to complete in the Best Kisser category. We did not win any awards but we had fun strutting down the red carpet in style.

We loved watching our furiends walk the red carpet too!
Many of our furiends came out to support the canine festivities and Hospice of the Valley. Obi and Darth Maul were there cheering us on while their mom judge the competitions.

Solo's girlfriend, Jun Ko, along with furcousins Boo Boo and Bullet participated in the Best Dressed contest. My girl Rio is a natural kisser and beauty so it was only natural for her to enter into the Best Kisser category.

LB Steak hosted this pawesome fundraiser. The umbrellas and chairs helped coral the guests into the shade on this hot day while the free human appetizers and ice cold water gave this event a special s'wag'ger for all to bark about.

Solo loved the beef treats!

TWO BIG PAWS UP to the LB chef and staffers who made the cow shaped beef cookies. These yummy doggity delights were passed out to each dog that attended the event. Solo and I gobbled ours up, woof woof!

We cannot wait to use the attached 15% off lunch coupon in a few weeks with mom too. I am secretly hoping mommy will order me a steak to share with my brother... paws crossed.

We all had a furtastic time, woof woof!
This was a great fundraiser and we cannot wait to help raise funds for Hospice of the Valley next year.  Until then... keep wandering.

Who were we wearing and how do we roll? Solo wore a Black Tie Affair Boy Dog Vest by Emma Rose Designs. I wore a non branded dog tuxedo suit purchased from We strolled around the event in our camo PetZip stroller.

Wagging exclusive! The event was featured in the San Jose Mercury News. I was mentioned in the article along with pictures of my furiends Zeus, Thalia, and Rio! Woof woof!

9th Annual Bark at the Park with the Oakland A's

9th Annual Bark at the Park 2014
Let's fetch ball! I love visiting the Oakland Coliseum each year to sniff the grass on the field, walk around the warming track, and watch the Oakland A's beat the visiting team.

This year we hung out with our friend Boo Boo at the game!
This year the pup rally took place inside of the stadium. We sniffed out our place in line, showed off our rabies tags to the staff, and entered the stadium.

Just waiting in line... we are so excited! Woof!
We made sure we wore our best Oakland A's outfits. Solo and I both wore our Oakland Athletics t-shirts by Hunter MFG.

My dad made me a special sign to wear while walking on the field. Solo and I barked "I believe in Stephen Vogt! Woof woof!" while walking on the field. Stephen Vogt hit his first MLB home run at Bark at the Park last year and we wanted to cheer him on this year too.

My favorite part of the whole event is walking on the field. I gave out a little howl when we found out the walk on the field was cut short this year.

Usually we get to walk around the entire field but this year we walked a quarter of the track. I still got to sniff the grass and feel that red dirt under my paws.

We had great seats too! Solo and I snuggled into our blankets and watch the game while eating our dinner.

By the end of the night, Solo and I were tired and could not keep our eyes open. We manage to give out a few small bark when the Oakland A's won with a walk off home run.

We cannot wait to visit the Oakland Coliseum again next year. Until the next ballgame, keep wandering...

My 6th birthday month was pawsitively furtastic!

My 6th birthday, woof woof!
I like having a birthday pawty but why can't I pawty all month long too. Woof woof! I spent the whole month of April hanging out with my family and furiends to celebrate my 6th birthday. It was pawsitively furtastic!

Me in my tux!
I started my birthday month with a furtastic dinner with my mommy and brother at our favorite pizzaria, Pizza Chicago. We always sit on the patio and get excellent service from the staff. I get my own water bowl and a few dog treats. Mommy also ordered me a plate of chicken strips too... YUM YUM in my Yorkie tum tum!

Second, I had a howling time at my very special masquerade birthday pawty. When I was a pup, my mom and I spent many night watching Phantom of the Opera. She loved the costumes and I loved listening to the music. I would even barked while mom sang along to each song in the movie. My mommy took one of my puphood moments and turned it into a grrreat 6th birthday pawty.

I had lots of food for both the parents and my furiends. My mom made shrimp cocktails and ordered dim sum for the parents to snack on while they drank sparkling apple cider out of champagne glasses.

While the parents ate, my furiends and I took picture with my favorite pet photographer Vernon Jacobs. To keep with the masquerade theme, my guests came dressed in formal or costume attire.

I am the Phantom and my bro is my sidekick.
Solo liked wearing his mask.
Zoe's wore a cool mask!
Cody did not wear a mask but wore a complete costume!
Jun bedazzled her mask.
Me as the Phantom of the Opera!
I made sure I dressed up as The Phantom of the Opera while my guests dressed up in their best tuxedos, gowns, and masks.

We loved our masks.
Vernon Jacobs was able to capture my masquerade theme beautifully with his array of backgrounds and use of props. We love uncle Vernon, woof woof!

My furiends enjoyed their own set of hors d'oeuvres to nibble on during the pawty. I had pork and apple cocktail sausages and peanut butter nuggets for each of my buddies to sniff out and eat. My favorite part was the cake!
my prince bday cake

My mom ordered me a prince cake from My Best Friends Specialty Pet Bakery in San Diego. It was peanut butter flavored and covered in yummy dog-friendly icing. I had two helpings of my cake, lick lick lick.

I am six years old!
I spent my last birthday outing with my mom, Solo, Solo's girlfriend Jun, and Jun's mom. We drove to Half Moon Bay for lunch and walked around the pier.

@ Pillar Point Harbor
For the past few years, my mom and I drove down to Carmel to celebrate our birthdays. We both have birthdays in April. Mom could not find a free day in April for us to drive to Carmel with all of my doggy Easter events and playdates so we stayed local and had lunch in Half Moon Bay.

We ate on the patio at Ketch Joanne. We enjoyed treats, fish, and lots of head pats from other customers while my mom and auntie enjoyed the great dog friendly atmosphere, sunshine, and seafood.

I had a great birthday month! Woof woof. I would like to thank everyone who came to my birthday pawty. It would not be a pawty without my furiends. Until the next pawty... keep wandering...

I love all my furiends and family!

Who are we wearing? My brother and I wore black harness dog tuxedos from Doggie Designs. The three piece set comes with a harness tuxedo, collar with bow tie, and a top hat. We did not wear the top hat during the pawty.

BIG WOOF WOOFS to Earthbath for the dog shampoo and wipe samples. I love Earthbath products and wanted to share the product with my furiends. I placed a sample in each of my pawty favors. Thanks Earthbath!

I cannot wait for my next pawty!
