It's a double western doggity birthday pawty...YEEHAW!

I cannot believe my little brother Solo Nho Xiu is all grown up and turns 2 this month. I can still remember Solo's first birthday pawty and cannot believe a whole year has gone by. He is still my little brother in my heart but he is now officially an adult Yorkie.

Solo, 2 year old cowboy

Like any fashionable pawty Yorkie, Solo wanted to have a fun and exciting birthday where he could show off a new outfit. Solo also wanted to share his birthday celebrations with his girlfriend Jun Ko.

Jun, 3 year old cowgirl
Solo and Jun put their Yorkie brains together and decided on a western pawty theme. There were images of horseshoes, boots, and lassos all around the room. All of their furiends came dressed in their best Western attire.

My favorite part of the pawty was the food. My mom and Jun's mom served chicken fried chicken and corn bread to each dog. The chicken fried chicken was made from ground chicken and coconut oil. The corn bread was made from unsweetened apple sauce, pear sauce, oatmeal, coconut oil, vanilla extract, baking soda, and light brown sugar. The entire western meal was super yummy and all of pawty guests goggled it down and asked for seconds. I sniffed out three helpings myself... lick lick lick.

Bullet loved the cake!
The cakes were made by My Best Friend Specialty Pet Bakery in San Diego. Solo and Jun ordered the 4" Just for You Puppy cakes in peanut butter flavor. The cakes were tasty, soft, and de'lick'cious! Each slice was gobbles up in seconds. Natalie (owner, baker, and artist of My Best Friend Specialty Pet Bakery) takes great care when making each cake and we would not consider any pawty a "real" pawty without one of her cakes, pupcakes, or platter trays on the pawty table.

The birthday cowboy and cowgirl! Woof woof!

Solo and his blue birthday cake.
Jun wanted her cake to be pink.
The games were furtastic and a lot of our friends won cool squeaky prizes. My friend Lilu won the "Guest How Many Treats" game. There were 399 Zuke's mini naturals chicken treats in a jar and Lilu guest 345.

Lilu was so happy to win all the treats!
Many of the pawty guests won prizes for first, second, third, and fourth place while playing "Solo and Jun's Western Word Search." Can you find all the words? I sniffed out a few but cheated and used the key to find the answers.

How many words did you sniff out? I have included the key at the end of this post to help the non-sniffers find the answers.

The entire pawty was a big success. I am sad I can no longer call Solo my "little puppy brother" but I am glad he has grown up into a young cowboy with a beautiful cowgirl girlfriend.

I cannot wait for my birthday pawty in April. Until then, keep wandering!

Happy Birthday Solo and Jun
Who was Solo and Jun wearing? Solo wore a tan felt cowboy hat and cowboy outfit both purchase from PupRwear. Jun wore a western dog costume dress purchase from Baxter Boo.
